The Desiring God - Children’s Bible?

I have made a wonderful discovery. The new ESV Children’s Bible is in fact the Children’s Desiring God study Bible in disguise. My first clue was the topics covered in the supplementary material. “Fighting the Fight of Faith” is not the typical article in a children’s Bible.

Amazon did not have the Look Inside feature working. So I went my nearest Family Christian Store to get a closer look. The table of contents left no doubt. Over fifty pages of articles were copyright by Jill Nelson, Sally Michael or www.ChildrenDesiringGod.com.

This is a truly excellent Bible – not just for kids. The content of those resource pages is provides some of the best offered in any Bible. The text is the ESV, the same as the grown up version. And the 200+ illustrations are excellent. This has become our new family Bible. If your kids are ready for the grown-up Bible, I recommend this one.
